Councillor Rushbrook

Ron was elected councillor for Gensing Ward on Hastings Borough Council in May 2002. He retired in August 2003 and his background is in building maintenance and building maintenance management. He started out as a plumbing and heating engineer.

Ron has a history of representing people, mainly through his trade union membership. He has served on many committees concerned with health and safety matters, and has always been interested in health matters in general, especially where poor health is caused by deprivation. Ron represents a ward that suffers such problems, and believes that the Health Overview & Scrutiny Committee can bring about improvement for everyone.
