Councillor Gadd

Joanne was elected as Rother District Councillor for Bexhill St Mark's ward in 1999 and re-elected in May 2003. She sits on the Planning Committee and was also on the Regeneration and Environment Committee as well as several outside bodies. Joanne serves on the Personnel Committee, Policy, Performance and Audit Committee and the Personnel Committee.

Joanne trained as a children's nurse at an early age and then broadened her career in management both in the UK and South America. Prior to moving to Bexhill, Joanne ran her own interior design company.

Joanne has lived in many parts of the world and has a very open approach to matters. She has been involved with physically handicapped children having had a son with spina bifida who was confined to a wheel chair.
