Ralph
Chapman
Born in
Hastings and educated at the grammar school, Ralph worked
as an operating theatre technician in the Health Service before
qualifying in social administration and training as a psychiatric
social worker. He returned to Sussex in 1973 and worked for
the County Council until he retired as head of Social Services
Quality Assurance in 1993. With colleagues, he set up a consultancy
working in the area of social policy and practice until he
retired in 2002.
Ralph
is chair of Age Concern East Sussex and a trustee of Age Concern
England. He is married with two grown up daughters and now
lives in Piddinghoe.
