Councillor Bentley

Born in London, Bill and his wife Jo moved with their family to Hailsham in 1989. Professionally qualified as a Building Maintenance Surveyor he worked for Local Government and the National Health Service for 18 years, before founding local family businesses.

Together with his wife Jo, Bill owned and managed a Hailsham a community care service, providing support to elderly and disabled persons in their own home for over 10 years. Currently Bill is owner and director of a retail shop, supplying computer products and software.

Former Chairman of the Hailsham and District Chamber of Commerce Bill also serves as group leader on Hailsham Town Council, is a Governor at White House Primary School and is chairman of The Hailsham Trust.

Interests: Keen supporter of Hailsham Town Football Club, Formula One, cycling and walking on the Downs.
